Internship Experience
Below you will find a description of the internship I completed in the Fall of 2023. Also included is the paper that I wrote for my LANG 4000 class during my 3rd year at Clemson University. This paper dives deeper into some of the lessons I learned while working for an international company and overall differences that I noticed.
During the Fall of 2023, I completed a virtual internship with Brotherfood Quality, which is a company based out of Madrid, Spain. This company is a main exporter of selected Spanish food producers to other countries.
During my time with Brotherfood Quality, I assisted them with their software systems as well as connected with various customers of theirs. I learned a lot about how business is run within the Spanish markets. Although I was a virtual intern, I still had the opportunity to engage with different employees within the company. Each week, I had a call with a different employee. I also collaborated on several projects with these said employees, gaining valuable experience and getting to see first hand how best to complete the task. I am very grateful for this experience as it taught me valuable lessons and gave me great experience as to how a business is run in a different country. Without this, I would not fully understand the differences in business tactic between the United States and the Spanish markets.
